Publisher's Description:

"Glory of the Logos in the Flesh is a more developed version of author Michael Waldstein's introduction to his translation of John Paul II's 'Theology of the Body', or TOB. Its three parts are arranged as concentric circles. Part III, the innermost circle, is a "map" of TOB. It summarizes each numbered paragraph and explains the order of John Paul's argument. Part II, the immediately surrounding circle, presents Karol Wojtyla's major writings before TOB, especially his dialogue with Thomas Aquinas, Kant, and Scheler. Man and woman as an image of the Trinity is the central issue. Part I, the outermost circle, presents the larger conversation in which Wojtyla wrote his works, especially the debate about the breadth of reason and its relation to power carried on by Plato, Aristotle, Ockham, Bacon, and Descartes."
