O God! "every good gift proceedeth from Thee." It is only through Thee that we are able to think anything truly good. Thou workest the willing and perfecting of all that is good. In holy baptism Thou hast made my children Thy children, and hast planted in their hearts the germs of virtue. Their growth and development is also Thy work. Grant that they may always live and act according to the teachings of their holy faith. Raise their hearts to heavenly thoughts and desires. Enkindle in them the fire of Thy holy love, that they may adhere to Thee, keep always before their eyes and fulfil always faithfully Thy holy commandments. Nourish in them the spirit of prayer, that they may be zealous in the performance of their spiritual exercises and, in frequenting divine service, may learn how to pray well and become rich in heavenly graces. Preserve them in unblemished innocence and purity of heart. Thou art powerful, O God, to bestow all gifts in abundance. Visit, then, my children with Thy grace, so that they may become firmly rooted in sincere piety and fear of God, increase therein, and attain their salvation. Amen.
